Charles River Center VIRTUAL 5K Run/1Mile Walk

Please help me help others, and help me keep this organization's doors open! I'm fundraising for the Charles River Center, a wonderful organization that helps over 950 children and adults throughout Massachusetts with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is my first race fundraiser, so I'm only walking 1 mile (hey, it's part of the race title!), but if you know me, you know that's quite a lot for me to do all at once! :) You have to start somewhere, right?

About Charles River Center VIRTUAL 5K Run/1Mile Walk
In an effort to adhere to social distancing measures while keeping the tradition alive for the 10th annual Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk, we are taking this year's event virtual from September 20th-September 27th, 2020. The Charles River Center is a nonprofit social service agency that has been providing advocacy and a variety of services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families since 1956. Our mission is to empower and support people with developmental disabilities by offering high-quality, individualized opportunities that foster independence and community inclusion. We currently serve more than 950 children and adults with developmental disabilities such Down syndrome, autism and cerebral palsy. Our organization operates 26 group homes and apartments, provides day programs for those with significant needs, offers vacation and after school programs for children, and provides vocational training and job placement. Charles River serves individuals in Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Dedham, Natick, Framingham and beyond.
