It's almost time for the Roundhouse Aquarium's Fun Run for the Oceans!

Have you been spending more time on the couch recently than you'd like to admit? I know I have. So, here's a perfect reason to get some exercise! By registering and donating to run/walk with my team, you aren't only keeping your body in shape, but you're also supporting ocean education and conservation! Even if you don't want to exercise, please consider donating anyway! The Roundhouse Aquarium needs your help to fund our new digital education programs! We're still planning to reach thousands of students this year to teach them more about the beautiful ocean and also how they can do their part to help save it and the animals who live beneath the waves.

About Roundhouse Fun Run for the Oceans
The Fun Run will raise money for the Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and its programs which educate and inspire visitors of all ages about the oceans, marine life, the environment. The Roundhouse Aquarium programs deliver science and environmental education to students throughout the South Bay and Los Angeles community.

A few facts about the Roundhouse:
  • Each year roughly 15,000 students from Pre-k through 12th grade learn about science, the oceans and environment through our education programs.
  • Thanks to donors and partner programs, 80% of our on-site and outreach classes are free to the schools.
  • Our volunteer program includes 100 dedicated volunteers who donate over 6,300 hours annually. About 95% are local high school students.

Funds raised by the Roundhouse Fun Run for the Oceans 2020 will support and improve the Roundhouse Aquarium’s education and volunteer programs.
