About Coop's Troop 5K
Coop’s Troop Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non profit charitable organization that was founded to honor Cooper’s short but impactful life and legacy.
Cooper Matthew Richards is a brave, three year old boy who passed away on January 19, 2017 after a courageous battle with a rare disease called
GM-1 Gangliosidosis. Following his passing, the Richards Family took on the mantra of “Doing Cooper Work.” Doing Cooper Work is doing small things that make a big impact in the lives of courageous children and their families. Through the Coop’s Troop Foundation, Inc., they carry forward this work and mantra by helping children with life limiting diseases and special needs lead a quality and happy life.
