Dear Valued Friends and Supporters,
In 2020, this will be our 10th annual Daffodil Run/Walk for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each spring, we gather on the last Sunday in April in downtown Amherst for this 5K/10K event to celebrate the strength of young people and our community. Due to COVID-19, we will not hold the Daffodil Run in person as planned on April 26, 2020.
INSTEAD we have decided to take the Daffodil Run to the internet on the same day! Here’s how it works—you register to run or walk virtually, you plan your course (we’ll help you!), and you run or walk your 5K/10K wherever you are. Document your participation by sending us a photo or video of your run or walk by noon on Sunday, April 26th. From 11am-1pm that day, we will connect with a celebratory live stream, when we’ll cheer you on for finishing your race! Registrants will be eligible to win amazing giveaway prizes that include:

Our mission of creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships to ignite the power and promise of youth does not decrease because of a pandemic. In fact, the stresses that our children are facing in the midst of this national emergency only increase the need for connection with a mentor. The Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we count on the revenue from this event to continue our service to our kids, their families, and their mentors. We are asking for your help in making this event as successful as ever!

LIABILITY WAIVER – I know that running/walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk. I assume all risks
associated with running/walking in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road and/or trail, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County, CHD, and it’s Board of Directors, and all sponsors, their representatives, and the
successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named on this waiver. I have read the liability waiver and understand the inherent risks with this activity.
I certify that I am 18 years of age or older, or that I am the Parent/Guardian of the entrant and am granting permission for him/her to participate.
