About this Event
We have the best medals of any 5k! View pictures of the medal on our facebook page or our website: www.oldwestruns.com. Runners will navigate the old west country side. Feel the thrill of running through the old west as you navigate through the hills and trails traveled for over a hundred years. Scenic routes will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the old west country side as you run, the 10k route has a great view as you run along Vail lake. Cowboys will be spread throughout the route shouting encouragement and shooting their guns in the air to give you a boost of adrenaline.

What you get
Participants will receive a shirt and a custom 3d medal featuring our Cowboy runner. Participants 21&over will receive free beer sponsored by Wiens Brewery in Temecula. Manyk Energy Drink will also be onsite giving away free energy drinks and Coca-Cola has sponsored water and sport drinks. Festivities will also include music, shows, free stuff and more.
Parking
There will be ample parking at the resort. The resort charges $10 for parking which will grant you access to all the facilities after the race is concluded. Feel free to stick around and check out all that the beautiful Vail Lake resort has to offer.
Race Proceeds
Race proceeds will benefit HELPline. A non-profit suicide/crisis prevention hotline in Riverside County. Last year HELPline answered over 8,000 suicide/crisis phone calls. They are a great organization and we are very excited to have them be a part of this run. For more information visit: http://www.connectriverside.org
Races
The OldWest run is open to all participants 12 and over. Children under the age of 12 can participate in our half mile Tumbleweed Dash (the kids dash will not be a timed event).
Post Race Party
After the race we invite all participants and spectators to visit out vendor area/health expo, enjoy food, music and shows. Also take pictures with the Cowboys and Western ladies. There will be a bar serving alcohol open after the race. Stick around and have a beer, enjoy western BBQ, Gun Fighter shows, music and more.

the 10k route features a fantastic view.
