About this event
Come join us for the Inaugural Wing Fling 5K benefiting the Palm Springs Lions Club. Come for the race--stay for the fun. The race is the opening activity of the Lions' Club Wing Fling which includes a fast race and fun for the entire family!
Course
This is a fast and flat course that begins and ends inside the Palm Springs Stadium.
Awards
All finishers will receive a beautiful medal. Age group awards will also be given 3-deep in 5 year age categories.
T-shirts
A souvenir t-shirt is included with your entry fee.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick-Up will be held at RUNNING WILD 611 S. Palm Canyon in Palm Springs from 11AM-5PM on Friday, March 14th.
What you get
In addition to race entry, all participants receive an event t-shirt, finisher medal, finish line photo, goodie bag, pancake breakfast and FREE entry into the Palm Springs Lions Club Wing Fling and Pig Races! This is a great family event with lots of activities for the kids and a great car show that all will enjoy!
Teams
We will award trophies to the first 3 teams of 4 or more that finish the race together. Race team members must be tethered together and wear a Wing Fling costume (festive hat will do)!
Triple Crown Medal
Participants who enter and finish 3 events: Santa Paws 5K (December 2013 or 2014, Wing Fling 5K 2014 and Run for Ike 2014 will receive a special TRIPLE CROWN medal! Please join us for these 3 events that benefit our local charities.
