About This Event
SBS PTO 5k Freaky Family Fun Run is a family oriented event created to promote health, wellness, and community in our town. The run is 3.1 miles and there is also a 1.5 mile walk. A kids race is 1/2 mile and will take place before the run at 8:30am. This is a halloween themed events and costumes are highly encouraged and will be rewarded. What other race can you come in last and still get an award?
Course
The course will start out on Central St., turn right on Washington St., right on Ralph Hamlin Jr Lane, a short cut through Mt Vernon Cemetery, left on Central St, Right on Park Ave, Right on Centre Ave, Right on Washington St, Right on Central. (Similar to Community Partners 5k Course)
Awards
Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women and for the Top 3 in many age groups, < 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, >60. All kids in the kids race will receive a medal.
Post Race Party
A post race celebration you won't want to miss will be held at Saint Bridget School. There will be food, music, and entertainment for the whole family.
T-Shirts
Every participant will receive a top quality tech shirt, they will be awesome!
Number Pick-Up
Numbers will be available for pick up the evening before the event, Friday October 24, from 4-8pm at Saint Bridget School and the morning of the race beginning at 7:00am.

I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. I understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry by the St. Bridget School (with the St. Bridget School PTO and St. Bridget Parish "St. Bridget"), I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am traveling to or from the event, during the event, or while I am on the premises of the event. I also am aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic, and conditions of the road. I understand that this is a waiver of any claims by me, including my heirs and successors, against: Saint Bridget, including employees, officers, and event volunteers; event sponsors; Town of Abington, and state agencies (collectively the "Organizing Parties"), whether caused by negligence, action, inaction, or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold each of the Organizing Parties harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of my use of Saint Bridget produced events. The Organizing Parties reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of their control such as weather, natural disasters or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. The Organizing Parties may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes. I hereby grant full permission the Organizing Parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event.
