The UAlbany "I am the Most" 5K Color Run
Did you know that the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program is celebrating its 45th anniversary? Did you know that the Social Norms Campaign is celebrating its 10th anniversary? Help us celebrate these milestones during our First Annual "I am the Most" 5K Color Run. This event will celebrate 45 years of UAlbany students helping students AND 10 years of healthy choices UAlbany students make every day surrounding alcohol and other drug use. Whether you are part of the UAlbany family or a member of the Capital Region community, come show your support by participating in this fun, educational 5K event for the whole family.
There will be prize raffles and after-race snacks, refreshments and color tossing packet. Also, no race is complete without the beats of DJ Syxx Figgaz at the start and finish line! In addition, several UAlbany student groups will exhibit their own healthy, fun activities for all to enjoy.
Pre-registration for the race will be just $10.00 for members of the UAlbany community and just $15.00 for members of the Capital Region community! Children 12 years of age and under are invited to participate alongside their family and friends FOR FREE! All timed race entries include giveaways such as an "I am the Most" water bottle and 5K t-shirts (on a first come, first serve basis). Make sure to register in advance before prices go up on race day!
Proceeds benefit the Middle Earth Alumni and Friends Endowment. The Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program is a campus service in which trained University at Albany undergraduate students offer hotline assistance, peer education, and peer career advisement under the supervision of professionals at the University at Albany Counseling Center.

Registration for this event will begin at 8:30 am. The race will start promptly at 10am, with the pre-race ceremony at 9:45 am. Parking for this event can be found in the Dutch Quad student parking lot.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained.
I assume(s) all risks associated with participating in the "I am the Most" 5K, including but not limited to: physical injuries caused by exertion, trips and falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic (cars, bikes, skateboards, pedestrians, strollers, other runners, volunteers and the like) and the conditions of the road/sidewalks/parking lots, and all such other risks being known and appreciated by me.
Having read this waiver and knowing the risks of participation, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive liability and release the University at Albany, the State University of New York, the State of New York and University Auxiliary Services, Inc., their employees, agents, officers, directors, contractors and volunteers, as well as their successors and assigns, if any, from all claims or liabilities of any kind or nature, person (including death) and property, arising out of my {our} participation in this event.
