About this Event
This is the fifth annual 5k and 1 mile fun run for the Rockport Public Schools Health and Wellness Programs. The race was born from the desire to get our students and community more involved in health and wellness activities. The money raised from this event goes directly to our health and wellness programs at the Rockport Public Schools. Last year the money we raised went to planting trees to shade some of our classrooms, a new water fountain with the capability to fill a water bottle, hydroponics planting system for our science room and lots more. We were thrilled to be able to purchase 35 pairs of snowshoes for our physical education classes to use this winter as well!!
Course

Awards
Cash prizes and free race entry to next years race will be awarded to the overall top male and female runners. There will also be prizes awarded for the top 2 runners male and female per age division. All 5K runners who cross the finish line will earn a Motif #15K race medal.
Motif #1 Day Festival
The Motif #1 Day 5k is teaming up with Motif #1 Day Festival in Rockport. The Motif #1 Day Festival is a celebration of our great community in Rockport. There will be great food and activities following the race in downtown Rockport on scenic Bearskin Neck, and the best part is that runners will get some great discounts at the festival. Directions
The race will start and finish at Harvey Park in downtown Rockport. The address is 4 High Street Rockport, MA 01966.
Parking- Important
Parking will be limited downtown. If you live nearby we encourage you to walk. If you are coming from out of town we encourage you to park at the Park N Ride and take the shuttle to the park. The shuttle will start running at 7:30am to bring runners to the race start and will continue running all day to bring you back to your car. The Park N Ride has 200 parking spots and bathrooms and there will be a parking attendent onsite all day for security for your vehicles. The Park N' Ride is located at the Rockport Transfer Station on your right when driving into town on route 127.
Number Pick up
Number and t-shirt pickup will be May 15th from 5-7pm at the Rockport Baptist Church located in Harvey park. You will also be able to pick up your t-shirt and bib number on race day.
T- Shirts
You will be guaranteed a t-shirt if you register by May 1st. After May first it will be first come first served while supplies last.
