About This Event:
SBS PTO Freaky Family 5K Fun Run is a family oriented event created to promote health, wellness, and community in our town. This year we are proud to donate a portion of our proceeds to Deb Cotter. Ms. Cotter has been a teacher at Saint Bridget School for the past 20 years. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will need surgery in the near future. The funds raised will go to help offset the tremendous costs associated with her treatment.

The run is 3.1 miles and there is also a 1.5 mile walk, both will begin at 9am. A kids race is 1/2 mile and will take place before the run at 8:30am. This is a halloween themed event and costumes are highly encouraged and will be rewarded.
Course
The course will start out on Central Street in front of St. Bridget's Church, turn right on Washington Street, right on Ralph Hamlin Jr. Lane, a short cut through Mount Vernon Cemetery (watch out for monsters and vampires!!) left on Central St., right on Park Ave, right on Centre Ave, right on Washington, right on Central.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women and for the Top 3 on many age groups, <18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, >60. All kids in the kids race will receive a medal.
Post Race Party
Post race party and awards ceremony will be held at Saint Bridget School parking lot. Free music, food, bouncy house, face painting, and even a haunted house. There will be a great raffle table with something for everyone. This is not to be missed!!!
T-shirts
Every participant registered by October 1 will receive a top-quality tech shirt.
Number Pick-up
Number and shirts will be available for pick up the evening before the event, Friday, October 14, from 2:30pm-7pm at Saint Bridget School and the morning of the race beginning at 7:30am.

Race Participation Waiver and Release I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. I understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry by the St. Bridget School (with the St. Bridget School PTO and St. Bridget Parish "St. Bridget"), I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am traveling to or from the event, during the event, or while I am on the premises of the event. I also am aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic, and conditions of the road. I understand that this is a waiver of any claims by me, including my heirs and succesors, against: Saint Bridget, including employees,officers, and event volunteers; event sponsors; Town of Abington, and state agencies (collectively the "Organizing Parties"), wether caused by negligence, action, inaction, or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold each of the Organizing Parties harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of my use of Saint Bridget produced events. The Organizing Parties reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of their control such as weather, natural disasters or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. The Organizing Parties may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes. I hereby grant full permission the Organizing Parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event.
