About This Event
The 3rd Annual Sacred Heart School 5K Run/Walk is a road race which will be held on Saturday, May 20th beginning at 9:30 AM. The race (chip-timed by RaceWire) will start and end at Sacred Heart School in Weymouth Landing and will utilize a majority of secondary (neighborhood) roads. See course map below.
New in 2017, we will have a live DJ/music, face painting/glitter tattoos, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt (proceeds to SHS), Dave & Buster's "Prize Patrol," free stretching, massages, taping, etc. from Bay State Physical Therapy, Touch-a-Truck, and a free stretching class offered by Open Doors Yoga Studio before the race start.
All proceeds from this race will go directly to supporting the students of the Sacred Heart School. We encourage all walkers/runners of varying ages and abilities to join us for a fun-filled day!
Registration
Participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register online. PRE-REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED AT 11:59 PM ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 17TH. Registration will also be available the day of the race, beginning at 8:00 AM at Sacred Heart School for an additional $5 per person AND $10 per family. Registration on the day of the race will be $30 (adults) / $20 (children) / $75 (family of 3 or more), payable by cash or check only.

T-Shirts
The first 150 participants to register before April 28th will receive a free short-sleeve race t-shirt.* T-shirts (short and long-sleeve) will be available for sale on the day of the race, if you are not one of the first 150 registrations.
*If, when registering, you are prompted to enter your t-shirt size, you are within the first 150 registrations and qualify for a free t-shirt.
Awards
Top adult (male and female) and child (male and female) finishers will receive prizes. First place adult male, adult female, child male, and child female finishers will receive medals in addition to prizes.
Parking
Parking will be available across the street from Sacred Heart School in the dirt lot, the municipal lot, and Commuter Rail lot as well as limited on-street parking near the start/finish line.
PARKING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE CHURCH OR SCHOOL PARKING LOT OR DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL, ON THE STREET (AREA WILL BE CONED OFF FOR THE COURSE ROUTE).

Bib Pick-Up
Bib pick-up will be held on Friday, May 19th from 3-5 PM in the school cafeteria. Although pick-up the day before the race is strongly encouraged (to alleviate long lines on race day), packets can also be picked up on race day, starting at 8:00 AM.
