About This Event
The Pingree 5K Run / Walk is an event sponsored by the L. W. Pingree Elementary School Parent Council. This is our third year sponsoring this event. All our proceeds are to help fund additional technology for all students in our school.
Course
The Pingree 5K offers a beautiful scenic run/walk along the trails of Wompatuck State Park as well as a One Mile Fun Walk/ Run that will be a great time for the whole family.
Awards
Awards will be presented according to the below categories for the 5K Event.
Top Female Runner (18 or over)
Top Male Runner (18 or over)
Youth 5K Runner Girl and Boy (12 or under
Youth 5K Runner Girl and Boy (13-17)
One award will also be presented to the first youth to finish the one mile kids run
T-Shirts
Official race T-Shirts will be provided to the first 150 walkers and runners registered on or before April 1, 2017.
TShirts will be available for sale on the day of race as well
Number/BiB Pick- Up
Registered Runners/ Walkers can pick up their race bibs on Friday April 28th from 4-7 at L.W. Pingree Elementary School, 1250 Commercial Street, Weymouth Ma. Please drive around back to the Library Door Entrance. Signs will be posted in back of school
Raffles items will be available during this time to preview as well as purchase.
Day of Race Registration and Post Race Celebration / Raffles
Registration available day of race from 7:30 - 8:30 AM
There will be music and snacks available after the race as well as great raffle prizes from a variety of local businesses/restaurants/ tickets to sporting events and professional sports team memorabilia. Please be sure to purchase some tickets to be a winner and help support the kids at Pingree!
Parking
There is plenty of parking available in the park. A Park Ranger will be there to help direct the cars.
