Officer Thomas J. Giunta, a 21 year veteran of the Fall River Police Dept., was shot and killed in the line of duty on August 24, 1994. A memorial scholarship fund has been set up in his name. All of the proceeds from this race are to benefit this fund.

Course; A wheel measured 3.1 mile loop with a slight upgrade during the first half mile. The course is open to all runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes. The race will start in front of BK's Tavern, 320 Airport Road.

Awards: Long sleeve t-shirts to all pre registered participants. Trophies to the top 3 finishers in eight age groups categories, as well as top 5 overall police officers, top 5 police teams and first wheelchair finishers.

Registration: A $25 non-refundable entry fee.

Pre- Race Pickup: Saturday, April 01, 2017 at the Fall River Elks, 4500 North Main St., Fall River, MA, between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

Race Day Registration: Sunday, April 02, 2017 at the Fall River Fire Department Headquarters, 140 Commerce Drive, Fall River, MA, between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM.

Post Race Party: Is immediately after the race, at the Fall River Elks, 4500 North Main St., Fall River, MA. A large buffet is served and then awards handed out. Also live entertainment is provided.

Directions:
From the East: Interstate 195 West to Exit 8B onto Route 24 North. Follow Route 24 North and take Exit 8A, Airport Road. At traffic light, turn left and drive to rotary. Enter rotary and take second right, North Main Street. Entrance to Fall River Elks is not n the left.

From the West: Interstate 195 East over the Braga Bridge. Take Exit 8B ( left lane exit ) onto Route 24 North. Follow Route 24 North and take Exit 8A, Airport Road. At traffic light, turn left and drive to rotary. Enter rotary and take second right, North Main Street. Entrance to Fall River Elks is on the left.

From the South: Take Route 24 North to Interstate 195 East, and then follow above directions.

From the North: Take Route 24 South to Exit 8A, Airport Road. At end of exit, enter rotary and take first right, North Main Street. Entrance to Fall River Elks is on the left.
