Orange Park Acres 4th of July Pre-Parade 5K Run/Walk & 10K Epic Challenge Cross Country race

I understand that the Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5k Race and 10k Epic Challenge Cross-Country Race (OPA 5k and 10k) is a strenuous physical activity held over public roads, trails, and facilities open to the public during the event. I further understand that hazards are to be expected and cannot be eliminated or controlled, including, but not limited to: uneven terrain, varied surface materials including creek water, steep grades, public street crossings, vehicles, weather conditions, my physical condition, and other participants. I further understand that participation in the OPA 5k or 10k is an activity that may involve risk of injury or death, risk of permanent or partial disability, and may result in economic losses including medical or hospital bills, and damages to real and /or personal property. In consideration of being permitted to participate in these events, I agree to release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue for any and all losses or damages, any and all claims or demands, and any other injury or loss to me or my property, or resulting in my death, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of the Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5k and 10k Epic Challenge Cross-Country Race arising from or related to my participation in the OPA 5k and 10k event. I understand that my participation the OPA 5k and 10k race is strictly voluntary and that I may discontinue my participation in these races at any time at my sole discretion. I warrant that I am in good health, physically fit and capable of safely participating in the OPA 5k and 10k event. I hereby waive, hold harmless, and release of liability the Equalizers Running Club, the Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5k and 10k Epic Challenge committee and volunteers, Orange Park Association, Salem Church and School, local jurisdictions, and sponsoring companies for responsibility for any and all claims of injury or damages, losses, or demands I may suffer as a result of my participation in the OPA 5k and 10k. I agree to the use of my name and pictures in any advertising or promotional publications. I understand the entry fee is non-refundable and bib numbers are not transferable. I have carefully read this Waiver, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk agreement and fully understand and agree to abide by its contents. As the parent or legal guardian of the participant, I certify that I consent and agree to his/her release as provided above, for heirs, my assigns, next of kin and myself. I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5k and 10k Epic Challenge Cross-Country Race, Equalizers Running Club, from any and all liabilities, incident to the participants involvement or participation in the OPA 5k and 10k, even if arising from the negligence of the Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5k and 10k Epic Challenge Cross-Country Race to the fullest extent provided by law.
