About Us
Welcome to the inaugural year for the Hope and a Future Run!
Please join us for the Hope and a Future 1K, 5K, 10K Run on March 10th, as we highlight National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and support a school that is making a world of difference in lives of children with these disabilities, The Imago Dei School at Trinity Classical Academy.
The Imago Dei School (IDS) serves a wide variety of students by offering a hope and a future to the under-served community of special needs students in the Santa Clarita Valley. Most IDS students have been diagnosed with learning and/or developmental disabilities. Many students are also diagnosed with associated learning challenged such as ADHD, sensory processing disorder, speech and language delays and executive functioning disorder. The commonality between all of our students is that they learn best in a specialized learning environment with individualized attention. The Imago Dei School is the only classical Christian special education school in the nation, and is setting the standard for Christian special education.
Profits from our event will go towards scholarship opportunities for children with developmental disabilities in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Kids are welcome to enjoy the kids zone and playground from 7am until 11:30am.
All participants REGISTERED BY Feb 21st will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, and medal.**
Registrations AFTER Feb 21st will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED for t-shirt and goodie bags.
ONLY 5k/10k participants will have a timed race with their bib chip. 1K runners will have the option of getting a bib before their race begins, between 8am-9am, but this would only be for fun and not for timing purposes.
Online race registration will be over on March 8th at noon.
Walk up registration will be available at bib pick up and on race day.
*Stollers and Pets are allowed on the 5K/10K route, but will need to start in the back of the group for safety purposes. Pets must be on a static leash.
Bib Pick Up
For your convenience, bib pick up will be held on Friday, March 9th, from 1-7pm, at:

The 5K and 10K routes follow the beautiful paseo walkways in Valencia, California. They are smooth and paved, a runners dream! Volunteers will be located along the path in order to direct participants and cheer them on. One water station will be out on the path for refreshments. Start and finish for 5K and 10K races will be at West Creek Park.
The 1K fun run course will take place at West Creek Park only, with the guidance of many fun volunteers and staff! The route will primarily be concrete sidewalks and grass.
Awards
Awards will be given for first, second, and third place male or female finishers in the 5k and 10k races individually.
Virtual Runner
Wish you could join us but you don't live in the Los Angeles area? Be a virtual runner! Run with us on Saturday, in your own town or on a treadmill! Go for a hike! Get active and go any distance. Then let us know you did it and we'll send you your medal and your shirt!

Race Day Expo
Our race day expo will be full of fantastic vendors! Motiva Juice Bar, Mend Cryotherapy, Orange Theory Fitness, just to name a few!
We will also be featuring businesses and nonprofits that specialize in working in the developmental disability community: Special Olympics, SNAP- Special Needs Athletes and Peers, Brain Balance, and Fun Life!
It's sure to be a blast!
Kids Zone
Kids will have a blast at Hope and a Future Run! The kids zone will be set up by 7am and will run until 9:30am. Bounce houses! Fantastic face painting! Interactive photo booth! There is also a playground for all ages located near the kids zone.
High School Challenge
Introducing the first annual High School Challenge!
Cross Country teams from all over Santa Clarita Valley and the Heritage league are welcome to participate in a rare race against their rivals! Participants in the challenge are encouraged to wear your gear from your high school and represent your team with pride!
The High School Challenge will have it's own start time and will be scored like a really cross country meet. It's a 5k not to miss!
To the winner goes the fantastic trophy!
