Early registration has closed. Late and on-site registration is $40 for ages 4 and up. Children 0 to 3 years of age and in a stroller, are free with a paying registrant, regardless of when you register. If registering with a young child in a stroller, the registrant must participate as a walker and line-up at the back of the line for the safety of all participants. Registration will close once we reach maximum capacity.
T-shirts for late and on-site registration are NOT a guarantee and given on a first come, first serve basis because we pre-ordered our shirts based on the number of those who pre-registered.
The race is a USATF Certified 5K course. Our USATF course certificate number is IL16050NM .
Only the runners who pre-register will be timed. Those who register on-site will not be timed.
There are two parking options at Whalon Lake. One parking lot is near the Konicek Shelter. The second parking option is near the Lakeside Shelter, which is closest to the boating docks. Both parking options are within the Whalon Lake preserve and conveniently close to the race course. But, the race will begin and end near the Lakeside Shelter.
