About This Event
The race will start promptly at 8:30am. Racers and walkers are welcome. Please arrive early to visit the registration table to pick up your shirt, bib, and goodie bag.
Registration and raffle tables will open at 7:30am.
Registration fee is $25 for runners ($15 for Children 17 or under). Walkers need not pay a registration fee but donations are welcome. All runners will get a gift bag, an Official BPS race t-shirt, and breakfast provided by Union Church. Please register by October 5th to guarantee the size t-shirts you would like. Prizes awarded to winners in their respective categories.
There is a Group Discount for teams of 4 or more of 15%. This can be selected when you register and create a team or join an already created team.
Online registration is done via Racewire.com. It is strongly suggested the you register online for the race as that ensures you get a t-shirt of desired size and a goodie bag. Race day registration is available however shirt size and gift bags are very limited in quantity.As always you are able to walk the race and make a donation.
Online registration will close at 9pm Thursday October 18th.
T-Shirts
Additional shirts can be purchased for an additional $10 minimum donation while registering. Please specify shirt size and number of shirts.

Prizes
Prize will be awarded to the fastest times and in various categories at 9:30am.
Raffles will be held throughout the event and awarded at 10am.
Music
Music will be provided by local band "Friends of the Rev".
Volunteers

Volunteers will get an Official BPS Race T-shirt of their size for helping.

Waiver: I hereby declare, assert and affirm that participation in the BPS / Become Part of the Solution 5K Run/Walk is done having voluntarily and knowing assumed ALL RISKS involved in this Special Event. The immediate physical risks and hazards associated with normal, vigorous physical activity include (but are not limited to) physical discomfort, fatigue, muscular soreness, falls, pulled or strained muscles, overuse injuries, heat stress, and the rare instance of abnormal responses of the cardio-respiratory system including heart arrhythmia, heart attack, stroke, and sudden death. In consideration of acceptance of this contract allowing my participation in the above stated Special Event and intending to be legally bound thereby, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, WAIVE AND RELEASE any and all rights and claims for negligence, injuries, damages or losses that I may incur against all participating agencies involved in the above stated Special Event, specifically BPS/Become Part of the Solution, Union Congregational Church of Christ Inc their respective employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, for any and all activities connected with the above Special Event. I also understand that I do hereby WAIVE any and all rights or benefits under the State of CT Worker's Compensation laws for any injury incurred as a result of my participation in this event, including disregard of the posted route.
