About the Race
The Eighth Annual Race for a Cure 5k (3.1 miles) and 10k (6.2 miles) is a run/walk in honor of Fallon Finegan who lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis in August 2010. Cystic Firbrosis affects 30,000 children and adults like Fallon every year in the United States. There is still no cure. All proceeds from this event will go to the Hearts for Hope Foundation to support families that are dealing with this devastating disease.
This event is meant for the avid runner and leisurely walker alike. The course is a flat 3.1 mile course in Mansfield, Massachusetts with the 10k completely the 5k loop twice. The race is the perfect way to stay in shape during the holiday season!
We hope everyone can come out for this fun event for a great cause! :)
The first 100 pre-registered runners will receive a free Long Sleeve t-shirt. There will also be an opportunity to purchase race t-shirts and other merchandise at the event.
The race will also have a raffle with lots of fun giveaways, a DJ playing some great music and food available for runners and their families all available at our post-race celebration.
