If you haven’t heard by now, for the second year in a row, the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Road Race has been cancelled due to concerns surrounding COVID-19
We certainly didn’t come to this decision lightly but in the interest of our participants, volunteers, and our community we have cancelled this year’s in person race. We’ve been looking forward to the race since the cancellation last year, never thinking this pandemic would last this long.
We understand that this isn’t a replacement for the real thing but running with 7000 others right now is not possible, but we will try to make it just as fun! This March we will hold the 2nd Virtual Holyoke St Patrick’s Day Road Race. Create your own 10K route (or use ours!) and compete against other runners. We will provide a familiar looking t-shirt, printable custom bib number, free beer, and local giveaways.

There will be a familiar looking t-shirt that will be mailed to each participant. We want to support our local bars and restaurants that help with the party every year, so we are going to buy a beer for each runner at one of the bars around the finish line. We will also have prizes and giveaways in the form of gift certificates to local businesses.
For good and valuable consideration, including PARTICIPANTS being permitted to participate in the HOLYOKE ST PATRICK'S ROAD RACE (EVENT) to be held on March 21 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, I the undersigned participant (PARTICIPANT) and I, the undersigned Parent or Guardian (PARENT or GUARDIAN) (where applicable) for myself, my successors, heirs, assigns, executors and administrators forever release and discharge St. Patrick's Committee of Holyoke, Inc., its wholesalers, PeoplesBank and all sponsors (collectively, the SPONSORS) of the EVENT from all claims, causes of actions, costs and judgments that I now or hereafter may have or claim to have against the SPONSORS for personal injuries, including death, and damages to property, real or personal, caused by or arising out of PARTICIPANT'S involvement in the EVENT.
I further agree to and do hereby assume any and all risks of personal injuries to PARTICIPANT, including death and all such damages to PARTICIPANT'S property, real or personal, caused by or arising out of PARTICIPANT'S involvement in the EVENT
I further agree for myself, my successors, heirs, assigns, executors and administrators to indemnify and hold SPONSORS harmless from all claims and suits for personal injuries, including death, and damages to property, real or personal, caused by PARTICIPANT'S act or omission and arising out of PARTICIPANT'S involvement in the EVENT, and from all judgments and costs recovered in said claims and suits and from all expenses incurred in defending said claims or suits.
I further agree that PARTICIPANT'S photographs, pictures, slides and movies taken or made by SPONSORS in connection with PARTICIPANT'S involvement in the EVENT, or any reproduction of the same, as well as PARTICIPANT'S name, may in any manner be used by SPONSORS or by any person, corporation, partnership or associations authorized by SPONSORS. I will be financially responsible for timing chip if not returned at finish line.
I warrant that PARTICIPANT is in good health and has no physical condition that would prevent PARTICIPANT from participation in the EVENT I HAVE READ AND UNDER- STAND THE FOREGOING RELEASE AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY.
