Help a kid in DC Foster Care have a mentor!
On Saturday, April 22rd , the BEST Kids Super Hero 5K fundraiser run is being held to raise money for a worthy cause—providing mentors for kids in DC Foster care. BEST Kids recruits, trains and supports volunteer mentors that provide a positive, stable influence in the lives of DC’s foster care youth—children who have been orphaned, abused or neglected. These children are DC’s most at-risk youth. I have been honored to be a member of the BEST Kids Board of Directors for the past 6 years. I have seen first hand the real difference mentors make in the lives of our foster care youth. Our BEST Kids Mentors are real live Super Heroes. A mentor can make a real, lasting difference in the lives of these children. Help them make a difference today.
