BEST Kids is an incredible organization near and dear to my heart. I've built my career advocating for the best interests of kids in DC's abuse and neglect system, and BEST Kids helps the most vulnerable of these youth by providing them with one-on-one mentors --- dedicated adults who are consistent figures in their lives, able to move with them from home to home and help them handle the trials and tribulations of growing up in the foster care system. I've worked with many different service organizations over the years and, without question, BEST Kids is the only organization that has consistently provided high-quality support to this very deserving population of young people. The Superhero 5K is truly a celebration of the youth we serve and the mentors who dedicate themselves to befriending and serving as confidantes and sources of stability for our kids.
Matt, Miles, Zanna, and I will be running in costume alongside some of our nearest and dearest friends. We look forward to another successful race and appreciate anything you can do to contribute to the cause. We are incredibly grateful for and humbled by your support. BEST Kids and I thank you!!!
