About Rhythm Run
South Shore Conservatory's Rhythm Run began in 2012 and has two race components. The chip-timed 5K takes place on the trails of Hingham’s Bare Cove Park, which directly neighbors SSC’s campus. The Fun Run takes place in SSC’s large circular driveway and encourages children ages 2-8 to have fun being physically active, and to realize that they can make a difference. Each child is encouraged to ask friends and family to sponsor their participation in the Fun Run. Proceeds from Rhythm Run benefit ImagineARTS, SSC's arts and literacy program for preschool and kindergarten students in underserved communities. ImagineARTS currently serves over 650 students in Brockton and Hull.
5K Course
The 5K takes place in Bare Cove Park. It begins with a warm-up walk from SSC to a spot between the Triangle Garden and Back River Path, with the route including Bare Cove Path, Back River Path, Conservatory Path, Bridges Path, Fresh River Path and Indian Point Path. The race ends next to SSC's amphitheater.
Directions and Parking
Parking is available at the entrance to Bare Cove Park at Bare Cove Park Drive off of Fort Hill Street. This entrance is across from the West Hingham train station. DO NOT PARK AT THE ENTRANCE OFF OF BEAL STREET. Shuttles will bring runners back and forth to SSC throughout the morning.
