About 17th Annual Basin Harbor 5K & 10K
We are honored to be able to bring to you the 17th Annual Basin Harbor 5K with a new 10K division. This race, held at Basin Harbor Resort and Boat Club in Vergennes, Vermont, was a hit with our racers last year because of the sheer beauty of this area.
The day begins with a children's fun run followed by our 5K and new 10K. Stick around after the race and enjoy lunch at the Red Mill or the Ranger Room. You will enjoy this beautiful 5K course laid out on the grounds of the Basin Harbor Resort and Boat Club - a spectacular seasonal resort on the shores of Lake Champlain. The course passes by the lake, the boat docks and the golf course with gorgeous views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. The course is stunning as it also winds through the woods (on a scenic road through the residential area). It doesn't get much more scenic than this! The course is not only beautiful, but it is also flat, so prepare yourself for a personal record! 10K runners will be treated to two loops of this course.
Following the race, you may enjoy our regular post-race refreshments, or you and your guests could opt to take advantage of several dining opportunities at Basin Harbor:
-Pick up something to eat at the Harbor Store
-Enjoy dining at the Ranger Room if you prefer poolside dining, or
The Red Mill Restaurant (reservations suggested).
We are pleased to be donating a portion of the proceeds from this race to Passion 4 Paws – "saving one life 4 paws at a time.”
