About Kappa Alpha Theta 5K for CASA
Every day in this country 1,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a network of volunteers that advocate for the best interests of these abused and neglected children in the hopes that no child is lost in the legal and social service system. CASA is held near and dear to Kappa Alpha Theta and we make it our duty to help sustain this organization with funds in the hopes that as long as children need comfort and support, it can be provided.
Kappa Alpha Theta will host our second annual 5K philanthropy on March 29, 2015 at the University of Connecticut. Proceeds will equally benefit CASA and the Kappa Alpha Theta Friendship Fund that provides financial support to sisters of our organization during times of extreme hardship.
