This year my family is participating in a walk benefiting the Merrimack Valley Samaritans in memory of my niece, Joann. The Samaritans offers services to those contemplating suicide, and are instrumental in assisting families cope with their loss when a love one has passed. The "Walk for Hope" will take place on Saturday, October 21st. The walk is 1.5 miles and will be at Willows Professional Park, 811 Turnpike Street (Route 114), North Andover. We will be walking on "Team Joann". Your donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

About Samaritans of Merrimack Valley
The Samaritans of Merrimack Valley, a program of Family Services of the Merrimack Valley, was founded in 1980. Samaritans of Merrimack Valley are the only suicide prevention and postvention center serving the northeast region of Massachusetts. They strive to reduce the incidence of suicide in the Merrimack Valley and beyond by providing "befriending" to individuals who are lonely, depressed, and contemplating suicide or self-injury through their 24/7 toll-free crisis helpline. Samaritans also offers numerous trainings and workshops to meet the needs of the community. They also provide support services for suicide loss survivors and suicide attempt survivors.
