Hello!
Earlier this year, I had the great pleasure of visiting Gifford Cat Shelter in my search to adopt a rescue cat. After being rejected (aka hissed at and scratched) by cats at other shelters, I was met by both warm humans and felines at Gifford. I was struck by the great care the volunteer staff showed the furry rescues and me - the novice, soon-to-be cat mom.
Because of their great work and care, I was able to take home a sweet, long-haired black cat who had been abandoned and left to fend for himself. Formerly known as Colonel Fluffles and now know as Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, "Sammy" and I are doing well! He loves to eat, sleep, listen to music, play with string, and catch flies. I hope you'll join me in supporting Gifford as they work to ensure other rescue cats get a second chance to enjoy life.
