Hello friends! I am so excited to participate in my third Hope Lives Here Walk/Run to Remember this October 15th in beautiful Rutland! I walked into my first ever Hope Lives Here meeting in 2018 as a way to deal with my grief after losing my Mom from breast cancer in 1996 and our son Bennett in 2013. I remember how hard it was to walk into that first meeting, but it might have been the best thing that I could have done for my heart. I am so glad that I get to share my grief with so many other incredible people who just 'get it.' I am lucky to call these incredible people my friends. They help me to carry my grief when it becomes to heavy for me to hold on my own.
I am now on the Board of Directors, the 5K Committee, the Programming Team and I have my hands in many other facets of HLH. I am lucky to work beside an incredible group of volunteers whose mission it is to make sure that no one grieves alone.
I believe in HLH and our vision of Hope. I hope that you can support me and other grievers by joining our team 'Benny's Bunch' or by donating here. Just a few numbers so that you understand a little more about what we do at Hope Lives Here. In 2022 we held 32 peer to peer support groups. 53 new people walked in our door and we helped to heal 140 hearts. We have 38 active volunteers that donate over 750 hours of service. Every dollar counts and helps to fund our numerous programs throughout the year as well as to keep a roof over our heads and the lights on. Please consider donating today. Thank you!
