Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters

When a young woman, now a senior, shared with me that prior to being mentored by her Big, she didn't know she had options for her future. She did know however, she didn't want to follow in her brothers footsteps - who had chosen the "wrong path."

After months with her Big, she learned that she had potential to acheive her dreams of becoming a nurse. Her goal for post-graduation is to join the military then nursing school.

That is why our family is running in the Daffodil Run. ALL youth have potential.

About Daffodil Run for Big Brothers Big Sisters
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. For a few hours, 2-4 times a month, Bigs and Littles spend time doing various activities together, from going to a museum to taking a hike. By simply offering the invaluable gift of friendship, Bigs and Littles literally change each others’ lives for the better. Participating in the Daffodil Run as a runner, walker or donor directly supports BBBS mentoring programs and will help keep these connections going strong, even during a time of physical distancing.
