Team Taylor's Fundraising Page
The COVID-19 pandemic has had quite a negative impact on the Charles River Center's ability to fundraise to support our 950 adults and children with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities. All our fundraising events since March have been canceled because of the Stay at Home directive and social distancing.

We had hoped that the 5K Run/1 Mile Walk could still be held as it is a very important fundraising and social community event, but it became clear that it could not happen in the traditional way.

We are excited to announce that the 10th Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk is going virtual!

About Charles River Center VIRTUAL 5K Run/1Mile Walk
In an effort to adhere to social distancing measures while keeping the tradition alive for the 10th annual Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk, we are taking this year's event virtual from September 20th-September 27th, 2020. The Charles River Center is a nonprofit social service agency that has been providing advocacy and a variety of services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families since 1956. Our mission is to empower and support people with developmental disabilities by offering high-quality, individualized opportunities that foster independence and community inclusion. We currently serve more than 950 children and adults with developmental disabilities such Down syndrome, autism and cerebral palsy. Our organization operates 26 group homes and apartments, provides day programs for those with significant needs, offers vacation and after school programs for children, and provides vocational training and job placement. Charles River serves individuals in Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Dedham, Natick, Framingham and beyond.
