On Saturday, October 15th, I am running the Abby's House 5K in West Boylston, MA. Abby's House is a nonprofit organization in Worcester that provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services, to homeless, battered, and low-income women, with or without children.
Over the years, they have helped more than 15,000 women and their children reclaim and rebuild their lives, empowering them to lead self-directed lives filled with dignity and hope.
I am running on Team Kelly's Krew with 9 co-workers. We are running in memory of our colleague, Kelly Momberger, who passed away unexpectedly last October at a young age. Kelly was a Worcester resident and Abby's House was an organization she regularly supported.
There's absolutely no pressure to donate, but if you want to support a great cause--Abby's House is one of them :)

About 13th Annual Abby's House Hybrid 5K Run/Walk
Group/Individual fundraising efforts directly benefit the women and children who call Abby’s House home. Last year, Abby’s House hosted a total of 162 women and 43 children in our supportive housing and overnight shelter. Additionally, over 500 women, with or without children, used our advocacy services through referrals, walk-in appointments, phone calls or participating in Women’s Center activities. By participating in our virtual 5K Run/Walk, you’ll help raise critical funds to help sustain our shelter and supportive housing as well as the advocacy services that the women and children we serve rely on to help them move forward on their journeys towards healing and recovery.
