I am running at 10K in Sharon in a few weeks, on Sunday, January 25, 2015. This race is organized by DreamFar. DreamFar is an organization that works with at-risk high school students to train for the Providence Cox Marathon in May, helping these teenagers grow stronger and healthier, emotionally and physically, with the guidance of a mentor. I am hoping to become a mentor in this program next year, but in the meantime would like to raise money to help this wonderful organization. Your help and support is truly appreciated (and if you would like to also run this 10K with me, I'd love the company)! Thank you very much for considering making a donation in my honor.

About Dreamfar 10K
The Dreamfar 10K is a beautiful winter 6.2 mile race around Lake Massapoag in Sharon, MA. All the proceeds from the race go to benefit Dreamfar High School Marathon (DHSM). THE MISSION OF DREAMFAR HIGH SCHOOL MARATHON ...IS TO CHALLENGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL – PHYSICALLY, SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND ACADEMICALLY – THROUGH A MENTOR-SUPPORTED MARATHON-TRAINING PROGRAM. Dreamfar accomplishes its mission by addressing several of the issues that often get in the way of a student's success and enjoyment in high school. Dreamfar seeks to help each student – develop a sense of self-worth and self-respect – facilitate connections; in school with other students, teachers and adult mentors from the community – instill the value of hard work to use when tackling life's challenges in high school and beyond – and experience the value of a physically active lifestyle.
