As some of you may know, I volunteer as a tutor for School on Wheels of MA, which is an organization that provides academic resources for children who have been impacted by homelessness. On Saturday April 29th, I will be participating in the Annual Outrunning Homelessness Walk/Run to benefit School on Wheels of MA. Funds raised from this event go to school supplies for the children (backpacks, pens/pencils, calculators, books, etc.), resources for the tutoring centers, college assistance, and other academic resources these children would not normally have access to without this program.

About Outrunning Homelessness Race and Fun Walk
Outrunning Homelessness is an annual 5K race and 2.6 mile fun walk held in April at DCR's Borderland State Park. This event, sponsored by Crescent Credit Union, is a fundraiser for School on Wheels of Massachusetts, empowering children impacted by homelessness to reach their full potential through educational support and one-one-one mentoring. The race was founded in 2011 by Race Director and Suffolk University undergraduate student Dennis Harkins, and the Oliver Ames School on Wheels Club.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at DCR's Borderland State Park in Easton at 9AM.
