On June 12, my family and I will run our fourth annual 5K to raise money for the Miracle League of Massachusetts, a baseball league for kids with physical and mental disabilities. I volunteered for this organization throughout high school, assisting players with batting, fielding, and running the bases. I loved watching the kids smile and laugh when they scored and being a part of supporting them and cheering them on. Looking back, my experience impacted me greatly, making me more determined to empathize with others and appreciate and give back to the communities I am a part of. The Miracle League's mission means a lot to me and I look forward to continue supporting this organization.
