You know I typically don’t reach out for this sort of thing but I’m participating in a Superhero 5K race on Saturday, April 22nd for a really great cause. BEST Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides mentoring to foster care children in the DC Child Welfare System. Essentially, this is the first pilot program in DC to provide volunteer mentors dedicated to mentoring children in foster care as young as six through the age of 21. I’m hoping I can at least raise a few hundred dollars by the race. I’ll be rocking a superhero costume for the 5K so hey, if anything your dollars will also go toward the incriminating photos! :)
