About South Shore Walk & 5K Race
Virtually every family in the United States has been touched by mental illness and addiction. On Saturday, April 29th Interfaith Social Services is hosting an event to support our loved ones who struggle with these issues, The 43rd Annual South Shore Walk & 5K Race in Quincy, MA. Interfaith wants your help to challenge stereotypes and eliminate the stigma of mental illness and addiction. The South Shore Walk & 5K Race have become an annual tradition for hundreds of families and individuals from all over the Greater Boston area. All funds from this event support Interfaith Social Services’ various programs including our New Directions Counseling Center. Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness each year. We need to work together and help these individuals, our neighbors in need. Interfaith’s New Directions Counseling Center provides a safety-net ensuring that everyone is able to receive care regardless of their health insurance status or income.
