The mission of SOWMA is to educate children impacted by homelessness by providing academic support and one-on-one mentoring so children can reach their full potential. When children have the academic support necessary to achieve a bright and productive future, it will help end the cycle of homelessness.

About School on Wheels Outrunning Homelessness Race and Walk
The Outrunning Homelessness Race/Walk is an annual 5K race and 2.6 mile walk held in April at DCR’s Borderland State Park. The Race was founded in 2011 by Dennis Harkins and the Oliver Ames School on Wheels Club. Free t-shirts to those who register by 3/31/17. Parking is limited, please plan on carpooling. All proceeds benefit School on Wheels of Massachusetts, directly supporting the education of children impacted by homelessness. The mission is to educate children impacted by homelessness by providing academic support and one-on-one mentoring so children can reach their full potential.
