My nephew and I are running in the Chris Sullivan annual 5K in Lowell in support of the Pershing Fund at UMASS Lowell. The Pershing Fund for Student Veterans has benefited from the generosity of the
Chris Sullivan Memorial 5K Road Race sponsored by the Sigma Phi Omicron fraternity at U-MASS-Lowell.
The race takes place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell with nearly 300 participants.
The proceeds from the race benefit the Pershing Fund for Student Veterans, the NEADS Organization
(aide/support dogs for Vets), and the Chris Sullivan Scholarship. Members of Squadron N-12 enjoy a
mutually supportive alliance with the Brothers of Sigma Phi Omicron by providing corporate sponsorships
and participating in the race.
