Dyslexia is a neurologically based learning difference that affects as many as 1 in 5 children.
Michigan is one of only 12 states that does not have legislation in place requiring early screening for dyslexia and teacher training.
Please support me and my family on October 1, 2017 as we walk to raise funds for the Children’s Dyslexia Center (CDC) of Southeastern Michigan to continue to provide free tutoring to children with dyslexia in Southeast Michigan.
They make a difference in the lives of children they work with by giving the gift of reading to children. Children walk out their door with improved literacy skills, but equally important, most have improved self-esteem, self-confidence, and skills to help them, wherever they decide to go in the future.
