2018 maCares Tribute 5K Run/2.5K Walk & Silent Auction

Your contribution will be used to relieve a veteran, adult, or child of the continual care costs of their service dog by 'helping service dogs help others' and help rescued animals in need of emergency care and services! Be a part of making a difference in the lives of people and animals!


Here are some examples of the continual care costs of service dogs:


- $100 Sponsors an Exam and Vaccinations for a Service Dog for 5 months


- $55 Sponsors an Average Grooming Session for a Service Dog


- $30 Sponsors Heartworm and Flea & Tick Preventative for a Service Dog for 1 month


- $20 Sponsors an Exam and Vaccinations for a Service Dog for 1 month


- $10 Sponsors the Daily Care that a Service Dog needs for 4 days

maCares is a 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to ‘helping service dogs help others’ by improving the quality of life for veterans, children, and adults. maCares also sponsors emergency veterinary care for rescued animals.
Proceeds from the maCares Tribute 5K Run/2.5K Walk series will support the maCares & faith Cares Service Dog Support Program. The maCares Service Dog Support Program provides financial assistance for the continual care costs of service dogs helping children or adults with physical, medical, and/or neurological challenges. The faith Cares Service Dog Support Program provides financial assistance for the continual care costs of service dogs helping veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Traumatic Brain Injury. The covered expenses include re-certification training, veterinary, medications, grooming, and daily care including food, treats, and supplies.
