People for Parks Mission:
We’re working towards the day when every child in Los Angeles has a safe park within walking distance.
We began People for Parks Los Angeles over twenty years ago, committed to restoring and creating vibrant, safe and accessible parks for all of LA.
Today, we’re working with other partners to fight budget cutbacks on LA’s critically needed parks. We’ve joined the effort to prevent budget chargebacks from depleting our already bare-bones parks funding.
We’re finding creative solutions to quickly add park space in our most dense neighborhoods, and initiating prevention programs to make existing parks safer and more accessible.
