Race Beneficiary
The race this year will benefit The Olivia Passaretti Scholarship Fund. Olivia Passaretti, was a 17 year old student at East Greenwich High School hit and killed by a drunk driver who fled the scene of the accident. Olivia was coming home from her sisters house on New Years Eve when her young life was tragically lost. Olivia will be remembered as a kind and caring young women, whose smile lit up any room she entered. East Greenwich High School has created the Olivia Passaretti Scholarship Fund. The goal of this organization is to use the funds for Capital Projects pertaining to athletics in memory of Olivia.
About This Event
The East Greenwich Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot 2022 presented by The East Greenwich Turkey Trot Foundation is a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race held in East Greenwich, Rhode Island the Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 26, 2022. The course highlights much of the beauty of East Greenwich, which includes Main Street, the waterfront and the hill district. In addition to the 5K race the festivities include a 1 Mile Fun Run, crafts, and music which will allow the entire community to get involved. This race has become a Thanksgiving time tradition for many! The 5K will begin at 8:30 and the 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:30.
