THIS RACE HAS BEEN POSTPONED. If all goes well, we would like to hold the race this June -- in which case we will get back in touch with everyone who is already signed up.

The Long Branch 5K Run is a fun, family-oriented community event. Proceeds from the event fund local programs at local elementary schools in addition to supporting the annual Long Branch Festival, a major community event. The Long Branch 5K will be held on March 22, 2020 in Long Branch, MD
Race Location
Starting line is a stone’s throw south of Long Branch-Garland Neighborhood Park (8601 Garland Ave.), which is across the street from parking at the Long Branch Community Center (8700 Piney Branch Rd.). See below for map location
Course Map
The race starts at the bottom of Long Branch-Garland Neighborhood Park across the street from the Long Branch Community Center. From there the racers will head down Long Branch Trail, cut into Haddon Drive, and then across Houston Avenue. At the bottom of Houston a race marshall will direct racers to turn right, heading up Sligo Creek Parkway. Just before Piney Branch, participants will turn around and head back down Sligo Creek Parkway, passing the Houston intersection. A race marshall will be standing at the turn-around point (about where Maplewood Avenue runs perpendicular to the Parkway). The racers will turn back up Sligo Creek Parkway and take a slight right back on to Houston Avenue. The route continues across Houston, up Haddon, and then back on the Long Branch Trail to end the race back at the starting line in Branch-Garland Neighborhood Park. Parking
Parking is at Long Branch Community Center (8700 Piney Branch Road) but we encourage public transportation options.

Race Day, March 22, with registration beginning at 7am (race starts at 8 a.m.) is across the street from the Long Branch Community Center at the Long Branch-Garland Park (8601 Garland Ave.)
