RUN INFORMATION
Congratulations! You are on your way to KICKING OFF this year's 4th of July the PATRIOTIC way!
Parking for the run is available in the Canyon High School parking lot and also surrounding streets and neighborhoods. The race will begin promptly at 7:00am on Santa Ana Canyon and Imperial in front of the Canyon High School track. There will be a short opening ceremony before the gun goes off at 7:00am. Please arrive with ample time to park, visit our expo booths, walk to the starting line, stretch, use the restroom, etc. THERE WILL BE PORTABLE RESTROOMS ON SITE. In our past events, the restroom line is known to get VERY BUSY 10-15 minutes before the race. Again please allow for ample time.
All runners will be wearing a state-of-the-art timing chip ON THEIR BIB.
There will be a TIMING MAT on the START LINE that will start your official run time when crossed. Please keep that in mind when lining up to the start line on the morning of the race. Also, you won’t have to worry about your position in line when the starting gun goes off. As soon as YOU cross the START LINE, your time will begin. Pretty schnazzy huh?!
There will be KM markers along the route, and if you are WALKING the 5K/10K course, please stay as far to the right on the course as possible. Strollers, and dogs are welcome!
If you are running the 10K, there will be a turn around marker up towards the festival center… Yes it is that far, and yes, we are surprised you signed up for it too. We will try and get some “eye of the tiger music” for the turn-around to give you that extra push.
Feel free to bring your own hydration, although it is advised you save those mimosas until AFTER the race... We will have water stops along the route.
As you arrive towards the finish line, there will be additional hydration booths and some local expos.

5:30 – 6:50 AM – Late registration / Packet pick-up (CHS Parking Lot)
6:50 AM – Race warmup (at start line on Santa Ana Cyn Rd)
6:55 AM – Opening ceremonies
7:00 AM – Start 5K/10K timed run & 5K untimed walk

Awards will take be for the Top 3 finishers in each age category.

Timing & Results
Your Timing Tag is Attached to Your Bib Number
• Wear your bib number front-and-center on your shirt. If you do not wear a shirt, pin the bib to the front of your shorts.
• Your bib number must be visible at all timing points. Do not cover with a jacket, belt, water bottle, etc. At least uncover your bib when you cross timing points.
• If you stop your watch at the finish line, do not let your arm cover your bib number.
• Your bib and timing tag do not have to be returned after the race.
Results will be e-mailed to you approximately 30 minutes after you finish the race, so you will have plenty of time through the day to own bragging rights over your friends.
