About This Event
The Somerset Berkley Education Foundation is excited to announce its second 5K Road Race and Fun Run to benefit students and educators in Somerset and Berkley!

The Somerset Berkley Education Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization,
that grants to educators in Somerset and Berkley schools for programs outside of school budgets that further creativity, innovation, and excellence. Since 2019, we have awarded more than $15,000 in grants, supporting curriculum ranging from the arts to STEM to life skills, to educator-led projects.

Event Details
RACE DAY CHECK-IN at 7:30 A.M. THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!
Registration will also be accepted on Race Day starting at 7:30 A.M. (cash or check, electronic payment (Venmo like transaction with Give Butter)
5K STARTS AT 9:00 A.M.
Fun Run starts at 10:00 A.M.
This is a fundraiser for student enrichment & we are issuing refunds (sorry but we are doing this for the students and after a tough year we it is all about the students)!
T-shirts - a limited amount will be available race day for those who missed the deadline so get there early. Thanks

Costumes!
Everyone is encouraged to wear Halloween costumes (even if you are not running or walking)! We will have prizes in multiple categories for costumes. There will also be a costume parade after the Fun Run - everyone is invited!
Course
The 5K course will follow scenic Riverside Avenue along the Taunton River. Participants may run, walk or jog. The Fun Run for Kids & parade will be around Pierce Beach Park (not on roads). Costume parade at the baseball field area.
Teams
You can register for a team (note: if you are first person to enter as team you must create the team yourself). Contact sharon.puccini@gmail.com or 917-434-3257 with questions. Students consider making a teams!
Awards
There will be cash awards for overall winners (first female and first male), medals for age group winners, prizes for first male teacher and first female teacher winners, costume prizes, team prizes (student groups, teams participation)and special prizes!
Fun Run participants will receive a medal.
We will have waters and race snacks for participants.
