5K Run/Walk/Roll Awareness Event
To raise the importance of early support for infants and toddlers. Early Support Services are designed to enable children from birth to 3 with developmental delays or disabilities to be active and successful during the early childhood years and in the future in a variety of settings—in their homes, in childcare, in preschool, or school programs, and in their communities.
Event Schedule
EVENT SCHEDULE:
• 9:00 a.m. – Event arrival: Get your Bib/t-shirt at Registration
• 9:50 a.m. – Pre-Race Silly Song Stretch led by Rai Swensen, Family Resource Coordinator
• 10:00 a.m. – 5K Race, Walk, & Roll Begins!
• 12:00 p.m. – Race Concludes

FAQ
How much does it cost?
$15 per person
Children 12 and under are free
Limited free registration for low-income families per request. To request this please email michelles@asapc.org. No proof is required honor system!

Can I get a t-shirt?
Yep…our 5k Fun Race, you’ll want to snag some swag highlighting this epic event! Our awesome T-shirts are $25 each. You may purchase one online or at the registration booth before the race, while supplies last.

Can I walk the race?
Yes. You may Run, Walk, or Roll whichever you prefer. Heck, you could even jump or do summer salts, but that would be really exhausting!

Are strollers allowed?
Yes, strollers are allowed.

Are dogs/pets allowed?
Yes, at ASAPC we welcome everyone however, your fur-friend must be well behaved otherwise, it’s probably a good idea to have them sit this one out.

Are bikes/scooters allowed?
Yes, but children under 10 only. Please be aware of others on the trail. Runners will generally stay to the left.

Are there restrooms on site?
Yes! There are public restrooms available for use on site.

What is included with my registration fee?
Race registration.

Will you have snacks and water?
Along the race path, awesome volunteers will have a variety of snacks and water will be served at refueling stations.

What cause am I supporting with the purchase of my race ticket?
All proceeds from the ASAPC Community 5K, Run, Walk, & Roll Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Awareness Event will go directly to the race event vendor and excess will go to support ASAPC.

Will I receive an award?
Sure, we can clap for you saying “good job” other than that, you can check out your race stats at the RaceWire tent.

Where can I share race photos?
We would love to see all those special moments captured from race day! Please share publicly on your social media platforms, using the hashtags #ASAPC and #runwithASAPC so we can find you!

How can I volunteer?
If running isn’t your thing, you may sign-up to volunteer with us on Race Day! Contact Michelle Smith, michelles@asapc.org to sign up.

Can I get a refund?
This is a rain or shine event!
There will be no refunds.

What steps are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of participants?
As an organization based in community, we hold the safety of our participants, volunteers, and attendees above all else. To ensure our event is as safe as possible and to make you comfortable both on and off the course, we encourage you to please respect participants who would like to social distance and wear masks. Masks are not required. We also ask that anyone experiencing a fever, cough, or other symptoms and anyone who has come in close contact with someone who is sick to please stay home. Hand sanitizing stations will be available at refueling stations.

This paved trail around the lake is smooth and great for families.

Parking: The main parking lot can easily fill up on a busy day. There is also overflow parking across the street and street parking available.

Accessibility: There are 3 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of 7th Street Southeast at the northwest end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles.

The trail surface is paved asphalt and smooth. It is typically at least 8 feet wide. Much of the trail is estimated to be in the gentle (3% or less) grade category. This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users. There are benches and picnic tables along the route for resting.
