28th Annual WAMDA 5K Run/Walk
March is National Nutrition Month. To celebrate, the Western Area Massachusetts Dietetic Association (WAMDA), a non-profit organization, will hold our 28th Annual 5K Run/Walk virtually from March 1 to March 10, 2021 to support The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
Since this race is virtual you can participate from anywhere at anytime between March 1 and March 10. Just run or walk your 3.1 miles and submit your time to us -- prizes will be awarded for top runners in Male & Female categories!
Helping Our Neighbors in Need during COVID-19
We're celebrating our 28th year by going virtual and making things a little different this year.
COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on food insecurity throughout our nation. We at WAMDA want to do our part in helping with this problem by making this year's race and donation to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts our biggest yet.
This year we are asking you to not only participate in the 5k run, but to help us fundraise money to help our neighbors in need. A portion of your $38 race fee and all money raised through individual fundraising efforts will go directly to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

How Do I Track my Distance and Time my Run?
We accept results on the honor system, so you can track your distance and time however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a running GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available for iPhones and Android devices.
Please submit your results using the link found in the confirmation email you receive after you register for this event. You will have from 3/1/2021 through 3/10/2021 to submit your results.
When Will I Get My T-Shirt?
Register by 2/1 to guarantee your t-shirt size, participants registering after 2/15 are not guaranteed a shirt. Shirts will be mailed out a week prior to the race dates.
