ABOUT THE 5K RUN/WALK:
The City of Upland is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Firecracker 5KRun/Walk- the 2nd 5K in our Upland Trifecta series, open to runners, walkers, and strollers for all ages and abilities - the perfect way to kick off your 4th of July festivities! This is more than just another 5K Run/Walk. It's a chance to spend time with your friends, family, and neighbors, focusing on health, wellness, and supporting your community. Proceeds will benefit the Upland Recreation and Community Services Division's Build-A-Dream Scholarship Program and the 2019 Summer Concerts, Movies, and Special Events In The Park.
5K RUN/WALK:
*Check-In/On-Site Registration: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
*5K Run/Walk Start: 8:00 a.m. SHARP
*Run! 5K Early Bird Registration applies through Friday, May 31st: $30
*Price increase Friday, June 1st through morning of event: $35
*Event T-shirt and participation medal guaranteed for all registration through Thursday, June 13th.
*All registration will include a Sparklin' Pancake Breakfast.
1K KIDDY RUN (For those 4-12 years of age.):
*Check-In/On-Site Registration: 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
*1K Run/Walk Start: 7:30 a.m. SHARP
*Run! 1K Early Bird Registration applies through Friday, May 31st: $20
*Price Increase Friday, June 1st through morning of event: $25
*Event T-shirt and participation medal guaranteed for all registration through Thursday, June 13th.
*All registration will include a Sparklin' Pancake Breakfast.
AWARDS:
*Awards ceremony to follow 5K Run/Walk.
*Medals will be provided to all participants.
*Prizes will be awarded to Overall Finisher - Male & Female
*Medals will be given to the 1st Place Finishers in each age category of the 5K Fun Run/Walk.
TEAM REGISTRATION:
Teams of 10 or more are a fun way to participate! Get together with friends, family members, co-workers, or sports teams, and enjoy a discount of $5 per person through, Friday, February 8th. Please note: To receive the team discount, all registration must be completed at the same time.
T-SHIRT & BIB EARLY PICK UP:
Visit the Upland City Yard located at 1370 N. Benson Avenue, Upland on Wednesday, July 3rd between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Swag bags available on site the day of the event.
REFUND POLICY:
*All entry fees are non-refundable.
*The entry fee will not transfer to another 5K Run/Walk hosted by the City of Upland.
*This event will be held rain or shine.
FIRECRACKER 5K RUN/WALK ROUTE:
The 5K Run/Walk will begin and end inside Memorial Park. Please see route plan.

This is intended to release and hold harmless the City of Upland and its elected officials, officers, employees, contractors and agents. I understand that I must be in good health prior to participating in the activity. I understand that serious accidents occasionally occur to participants during such an activity, transportation to or from such an activity, and during activities incidental to such an activity. Knowing these risks, I expressly assume those risks and agree that under no circumstances will I nor any of my heirs or successors present any claim or action against the City of Upland. I do hereby give permission for any certified emergency professional or health care professional to administer any type of medical treatment deemed necessary to the participants listed above in case of an emergency and in the event that I cannot be contacted. I have read the foregoing and acknowledge that I am giving up important rights by signing this agreement. Photo Release: I give permission to the City of Upland and RaceWire to photograph myself &/or any of the participants listed above for use in any future City publication at any time, for as long as the City of Upland possesses the photograph, and I acknowledge that neither myself nor any participants listed above will receive any compensation for such use.
