About Our Race
The Fifth Annual Run for the Troops 5k and Mile walk is being held at Pine Grove Park, in Dalton on August 25th. We are putting this race on to help raise money and awareness for The Home Base Program. The Home Base Program is affiliated with the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital. The program offers clinical care and support services for service members, veterans and their families throughout the deployment cycle. The Home Base Program also offers education for clinicians and the community about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injuries and the challenges faced by the returning veteran and military families. All funds from this race go to The Home Base Program.
Pre-registration will be $20 and day of will be $25, for the 5k or mile walk.
ALL RUNNERS AND WALKERS REGISTERED BY AUGUST 5TH WILL BE GUARANTEED A RACE SHIRT.
Race Day
Race day registration and packet pickup will be from 8 am - 8:40 am under the Rotary Pavillion at Pinegrove Park.
Race and walk begin at 9 am.
Parking is available around the park and on side streets.
Awards for Top Male and Female runners will be given after all participants have completed the course

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry: myself, heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against The Cachats for the Troops, all race sponsors, organizers, volunteers, officials, and the cities and towns participating for any and all injures suffered by me while competing in, and traveling to or from this event. I attest that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to compete in this event. I also willingly release my image for photography, video and film cameras which may chronicle the event.
