Join us!
This fun, family friendly event promotes healthy habits and community fitness, and helps support Watertown Free Public Library programs throughout the year. What kinds of programs? All kinds! The library offers yoga, movies, English conversation groups, computer classes, story times, and more! The library also offers access to computers, scanners, and printers. Of course, the library holds thousands of books and movies, and provides free access to streaming and downloadable titles too. WFPL also brought the maker movement to Watertown with Hatch Makerspace. Check us out!
Registration Information
Online registration ends at 7:00 pm on Friday, 9/20. In-person registration is available at the library on Friday, 9/20 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Race day registration will be available beginning at 8:00 am inside the library.
Bib Pick Up
Advance bib pick up is available on Wednesday, 9/18 at Marathon Sports (1654 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge) from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday, 9/20 at the Watertown Free Public Library from 4-7 p.m. Race day bib pickup is available on Saturday, 9/21 at the Watertown Free Public Library beginning at 8 a.m.
Race Day Information
Watertown Free Public Library is located at 123 Main Street, just beyond Watertown Square. We are located on the MBTA Bus routes 70, 71, and 57. There is a large parking lot located behind the library.

Our 5K begins at 9:00 am between Linear Park and Saltonstall Park on Whites Avenue. Look for our starting line in front of the Watertown Boys and Girls Club!
Course
We will be running through the neighborhoods surrounding the Watertown Free Public Library. The start line is located in front of the Watertown Boys & Girls Club on Whites Ave, a short walk from the library through Saltonstall Park. See map for specifics.
Post-Race Information
There will be an awards ceremony at 9:30am. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers. Souvenir medals are awarded to all participants 9 and under. After crossing the finish line, please cheer on your fellow runners and be sure to check out everything our library has to offer!
