Awards
There will be awards for the top male and top female in the run and ruck divisions. Also awards for the top male fundraiser and top female fundraiser in the over 18 and under 18 categories.
About
Check-In/Bib Pick-Up begins at 8:00 am and closes at 9:45 am. The Ruck will step off promptly at 10:00 am, followed by the Run/Walk at 10:10 am.
Ruck Requirements: If you weigh over 150 lbs: Minimum of 40 pound ruck.
If you weigh under 150 lbs: Minimum of 30 pound ruck.
This is a family friendly event. Spectators of all ages are welcome and there is no spectator fee. Following the event there will be an awards ceremony and music/food/drinks. In consideration of my application being accepted, I accept any risks of participation in the run, walk, or ruck and agree to hold harmless LEO Support Foundation, Whitman VFW, the Town of Whitman, RaceWire, all sponsors, all officers, directors, and members of said organizations, their respective employees, agents, and any other individuals who are in any way associated with this event, including volunteers assisting with traffic on the course. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event. I also give my permission for the free use of my name and picture in any written account, broadcast or telecast of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that if the race is cancelled because of any circumstances beyond the control of the race committee and sponsors including but not limited to hazardous weather conditions or government ban, my entry fee will not be returned.
In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive or release any and all right and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Director, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees. I also authorize the use of photographs or videos that include my image for promotional, informational, or other reasons deemed to be in the best interest of the event.
I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this race that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my physical condition has been verified by a licensed Medical Doctor. By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above waiver.
